GATEWAY PARANORMAL SOCIETY
GATEWAY PARANORMAL SOCIETY (G.P.S.) was founded in 2000 by a small group of individuals from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire, all with an interest in the Paranormal and Supernatural realms.
The Group is run on a Part-time basis, by members, and everyone in the group, or joining the group is expected to take equal share in making the Group a success.
We are a 'not for profit' organisation, and all our profits are donated to local good causes and charities, including Watling View School in St.Albans as some of our members have children and young relations who attend there.
Primarily we collected, Investigated and Researched local 'hauntings' for our own interest, but since being online from October 2009 we have had numerous requests for membership to our Group.
Although we are based in Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire, we do travel throughout the UK, both for our own Investigations, or for Events and Fundrasing.
At this time we do not hold 'Public' events, but we wil work with venues who wish to hold their own 'Paranormal' themed events. - See our SERVICES page for further details - All profits from these and any Public events we hold go towards our Fundraising throughout the year.
We also have dedicated Fundraising Events throughout the year, and we are always available to help other groups organise 'spooky' themed Fundraisiers for their own good causes and Charities.
All of our members and associates are dedicated Individuals with the utmost respect for the Paranormal Fields, the places we visit and those we meet along the way!
We are always available to answer any questions, and will happily accept links, etc.. from other Websites and Groups, all we ask is that you do the same for us!
Of course, we are always looking for new Investigations, Accounts and Ideas - so please contact us!
Junior G.P.S.
Junior G.P.S. is a group of under 18s who have expressed an interest in Paranormal Investigation. currently this group is only open to the family/ children of Gateway Paranormal Society Members.
Junior G.P.S. members use the same equipment (video cameras, voice recorders, EMF & Temperature Recorders) but in a controlled, monitored and safe environment. We do NOT allow them to use things such as Ouija Boards, or any other equipment we feel could be misunderstood or misused by them.
They are also expected to write up and research their findings (so it's educational too!!) and as with our own group, they are expected to follow the same rules, and show the same respect for venues and persons.
So far we have done a couple of Investigations with our Juniors, and hope to do more in the coming year!
