ABOUT THE EVENT
This is a FUNDRAISING EVENT and ALL PROFITS will be going to our 2 charities. We will also be donating to BODMIN JAILS own Fundraising to help the Restoration Project of this historic venue..
We have been extremely fortunate to obtain the venue at a lower rate, so our prices FOR THIS EVENT ONLY are lower than usual FOR THIS VENUE. WE ONLY HAVE 20 TICKETS for this event for sale. These will be sold on a STRICTLY FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.
THE TICKET PRICE ALSO INCLUDES A FULL GUIDED TOUR OF THE VENUE & BREAKFAST
Join us for a Full night of Investigations and Events at Bodmin Jail, a truly historic site full of tales of mystery and mayhem..... You will have the opportunity to particpate fully in Investigations, using a Full range of Paranormal Investigation Equipment.. For the very brave you can participate in Sences and Lone Vigils!!
Alternatively, you are free to explore parts of the Jail yourself......
HISTORY:The original jail was built for King George III in 1779. The Jail you see today was built by the prisoners who brought the 20,000 tons of granite from Bodmin`s “Cuckoo Quarry”. During the First World War the Jail held state papers and the Doomsday book.
Visit the cold dank cells, look up at the thin light filtering through a small barred window and imagine being sentenced to even a week in such desolation, a very lonely life with the knowledge each day would bring more of the same cold, hunger and hard labour, on the treadmill as a civil prisoner or “cannon ball” catch for naval prisoners; designed to keep you fit for battle on your release.

PARANORMAL INTEREST
Since being owned by Private Individuals, the Jail has welcomed Paranormal Investigation Groups, including Most Haunted . Some of these accounts can be found on the Internet, so if you wish to do some research before then google and see what you find....
WE DO NOT RESEARCH BEFORE THE EVENT
We like to attend each new Investigation with an open mind, so we don't research places before (other than small historical details). We encourage all participants to record as much as they can during the event, and we go through all accounts, recordings, pictures, etc.. after the event. We then add another page to the Website with the 'Best Bits' from the night so people can see what we found! - Only then will we read other accounts, to see if ours 'matches' in anyway - hopefully indicatng substantial Paranormal Phenomena! So, we really don't know what to expect either...

We can provide you with Taxi Service Numbers, and Train times before the Event if you require. Request information on these when contacting us.
TIMES OF ARRIVAL
Arrivals for 23:00. The event will start immediately after Introductions,Briefings, etc and a Full tour of the venue. If you will be arriving before or after this time, PLEASE LET US KNOW. We are aware that some people want to attend, but cannot make it until after 23:00 or may have to come earlier due to train times, etc..this is fine, and someone will meet you and run through procedures when you arrive. BUT PLEASE LET US KNOW if you will arrive later than 23:00 or earlier.
VENUE ACCESSIBILITY
If you require information about disabled access, please contact us. We will contact the venue on your behalf, and where possible, we will accomodate your needs.
FACILITIES
You will need to provide your own food and drink for the duration of the event. Breakfast will be provided after the evenings events.
SLEEPING AT THE VENUE
There are NO sleeping facilities at the venue.

A Full list of Terms and Conditions will be sent to all Interested persons prior to the Event. You MUST sign the disclaimer, in order to participate. The event is STRICTLY OVER 18s ONLY. We may request photo I.D. The Terms and Conditions of usage from both the venue provider and Gateway Paranormal Society apply. We have the right to reserve entry, or remove persons from the event in accordance with our (and the venues) Terms & Conditions.
